College Ball Princess Look
In New Zealand, high school is called college and college is called university…a bit confusing, I know!! They don’t have “prom” here but college balls. A friend’s daughter was attending a college ball and wanted me to fancy her up. Since she’s a teenager, we didn’t want to make her look too heavy and done up but a beautiful natural look…something fancier than she would wear normally, but not too fake. So we settled on a college ball princess look and we all loved how it turned out!
Princess Process
Our princess has beautiful creamy white skin so White Peach was a perfect match for her! I applied the highlight with the 30 Second HAC Brush just under her eyes, along her nose, on her forehead, on her chin and upper lip. She wanted a natural look, so Olive was a great contour shade for her that enhanced her cheekbones beautifully! Pink cheeks sometimes intimidates women, but she was happy to try a nice & natural pink cheek out. And it looked so great on her! We added Pearl as the illuminator on the tops of her cheekbones and it made her glow in just the right places!
Now onto the eyes! Her dress was black so she wanted to have a bronze look to her lids. I used the I Shadow Everything Brush to brush Bubba all over the lid, put Bright Eyes in the crease, and Sabrina near the brow and the tear duct. It was a beautiful combo! The colors looked great with her brown eyes!
We topped the look off with adding some definition to her brows. I applied Salem with the Multitasker Brush . It gave the look such a nice finishing touch and shaped those brows nicely!
She wanted a very subtle lip, so Desert Sunset always comes to the neutral lip rescue!

She was right in the middle of doing her hair, so this before & after has an extra element of fun and personality with her curlers! =) But we love how her makeup turned out and she was quite the beauty of the ball!
