Everyday Makeup Look with Maskcara Makeup
I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better and ready to take the day head on when I am dressed and done up! That doesn’t mean that I have to be completely dolled up and dressed to the nines, but I do like to look nice and put together each day. I have done this for years, so I have my routine down to a science. Let me show you my simple everyday makeup look with Maskcara makeup and how you can easily do it too!
I always start with a clean face and apply sunscreen to protect my skin. The sun in New Zealand is brutal and extra strong so I want to make sure my skin is shielded. Once I have those crucial steps complete, I move on to applying a light layer of makeup to enhance my natural beauty and bring out the good features.
First up, I take my favorite brush (the Detail HAC Brush) and start by applying my highlight color to the areas of my face that need evening out. I dab and brush under my eyes, onto my nose, under my nose, on my chin, and on my forehead. This makes my skin have a nice balanced color and evens out my redness and blemishes. My favorite part is next where I apply the contour color, a nice brown shade, to the parts of my face that need some detail and movement. I take my brush and dab some color along my cheekbones, along my hairline, and along my jawline. This step in my makeup process enhances my cheekbones and jawline. It gives my face shape and makes my face appear 3-D…like it should! Next, I take a blush color and dab it onto the apples of my cheeks and I blend upward. I top the face off with the illuminator color by applying it to the tops of my cheekbones and the bow of my lip. This adds a nice natural glow to my face when the light hits it just right. I take my Perfector Sponge and lightly blend all the color to make it look nice and natural. My skin is really oily, so I need to set my makeup with powder. I take the Power Powder Brush and pat the powder into my face to help absorb the excess oils.
I start my eye makeup process by lightly rubbing in an eye primer to prevent creasing. For an everyday eye makeup look, I go pretty easy. I just take a basic midtone color and apply it to the full eyelid with the best eyeshadow brush! Then I take a darker color and use the smaller end of the brush to swipe into my crease to add depth. I finish the eye off with a lighter color and add it just below the brow and in the corners of my eyes. I don’t apply eyeliner everyday…it just depends on my mood and the look I’m going for =)
Do not forget this part! Your brows frame your face and add such a great finishing touch! Make sure to add a little color to define them. You can add a lighter color for a more natural look or darker for a more dramatic brow. But don’t neglect your brows! I have a great video here that teaches you all about brows. I like to use the Multitasker Brush and use a dark brown eyeshadow to give them a nice shape.
Since I have oily skin, I need all the help I can get to keep me shine free throughout the day! I spray 3 squirts of the Stay Out There Setting Spray and let it dry. Then I apply my mascara to my lashes to finish the look completely off. And I am done! At this point I can add some lip gloss or lipstick…depending on the look I want.
I love that there’s no wrong way to look beautiful. If you feel beautiful, that’s all that matters! This is my everyday makeup look. When I take the time to take care of myself, I am much happier and ready to have a great day!
